Production Company

When deciding on what production company would be, we decided to have something similar to 20th century Fox production company intro this is because the 20th century fox company is well remembered and we want that for our production company. We decided to use an animation template and then change the text to suit our production company which is "Infinite Films".

Advantages

Unique - We changed the text to suit our film production but still has a lot of similarity to the original production company.

Smooth animation - We used a program called blender which is mainly used for modeling but in this case we used it to render and create our film production.

Special effects - The production company includes special effects like lights blooming on the logo

Disadvantages

Copyright - this could get copyrighted as its very similar to 20th century Fox production company and also we cant use the music as its copyrighted as well

Font Research

1. I.T

Information about font: In the I.T movie they use a custom font specifically made for the film, but a similar font would be futura font this is because the font used in the film cover is bold and white which is very close to futura. The font is red and looks like its been ripped into the book with blood the effect of this is to scare the viewers and let it be known its a horror.

Font effect: The font is effective because of the colour used because it contrasts with the dark background this makes the text pop out and standout it also can make us look more in depth into the cover as are eyes are so focused on the bright text that they could easily miss out on whats happening in the middle of the cover.

The red IT font is custom made, this can make it effective because we havent seen anything like it before and can give a creepy feeling the way the letters are crocked and wonky.

2: E.T

 Information about font: In the E.T film cover they decided to use the souvenir medium font for the "The Extra-Terrestrial" font and they also used a custom Font for the E.T cover.

Font effect:the Font colour goes together with the dark blue as the E.T font has a blue glow around the text which helps it stand from the background.
They also put the text in the bottom of the film cover which makes us look at the background first where we can get an insight of what the movie is about, the text still important as they used a glow around the text which is similar to the moon.

3: The walking dead
Information about font: The cover for the walking dead series uses the Tungsten Black font which is black and at the background of the picture of zombies and the people

Font effect:  The Tungsten black font is merged with the background where we can see dirt over the text, the colour of black also goes with the scene we are shown as the colours are very dull and boring.

Mood Board

We created a mood board of the genres and aspects the viewers will see in our film. The pictures here we can see sci-fi aspects from multiple different sci-fi films such as star wars. We have all these scifi pictures to show what to expect in our movie as we will have a lot of technological advances. We also have zombies and a soldier with a gun we have this on the mood board to show that in our movie we will be defending ourselves with guns against the enemy which will be zombies. 

Location Research

When looking for locations we first wanted to get establishing shots of city type loactions with sci fi featurs implemented into it.

1. Epsom Downs
Our first location is Epsom downs we feel this is a good location because it has a lot of open space and has the view of a location, we can use this view to show establishing shots of what we need for example explosions of destroyed city this shot can be used perfectly at the top of box hill. we will film both in day at night to show horror and Sci-Fi in this location.

2. Box Hill
Box Hill is another location we will be filming at, we will mainly be filming at this location in the dark or in the day for explosions. This location was chosen because we needed more of a dark and more empty place for our filming as Epsom downs can get very busy at night. Box Hill includes a empty field it also includes a small forest area that we could use to our advantage. 

3. Forty Foot Park
We will use this location to film at night, this has a woods which we will start to show the horror conventions and horror shots in, the woods is very diverse which makes it great for capturing shots, it has various different parts and is almost like a maze, combining this with zombies and action will make it a great location to use in our film.
